Airport Layout Plan
In 2008, Gordonsville Town Council adopted an Airport Layout Plan for future improvements at Gordonsville Airport. The plan includes the construction of a tie-down area, t-hangars for aircraft, taxi lanes, vehicle parking, flight school, fuel tank, runway improvements and obstruction removal.

Airport Capital Improvements Plan (ACIP)
A capital improvements plan (CIP) exists for the Gordonsville Airport. This plan is a 5-year plan that lists identified improvements to be made at the airport; its update is coordinated each year through the Virginia Department of Aviation. The projects listed are generally based on the improvements identified in the Airport Layout Plan noted above. Funding for projects is generally split between state (80%) and local (20%) funds.

While the CIP shows many significant improvements to be made at the airport, none of the projects listed is currently funded in the Town's budget.
