Gordonsville Veterans Parade is
November 9, 2019

Some of you have known members of our armed forces who gave their life for our country, or others who came home disabled after fighting and serving bravely.  Many or our brave veterans are getting on in years.  Few opportunities remain for us to say thank you to these heroes and to let them know of our admiration and gratitude for their many sacrifices.

Every second Saturday of November, Gordonsville honors veterans from throughout Central Virginia in the Gordonsville Annual Veteran's Parade.  Our hope is to have as many veterans as possible marching and riding, along with their supporters honoring them with patriotic music and floats in the parade.  Come and feel that patriotism, and be sure to bring your children to enjoy the pageantry and to instill values of respect and honor that have made our country great.

Immediately after the parade (approx. 2:45 p.m.), be sure to join us at the Gordonsville Volunteer Fire Company firehouse for a post-parade ceremony where we honor local veterans and award the parade winners. Light refreshments are provided after the ceremony.

If you are interested in participating in or have any questions concerning the parade, please contact the Town of Gordonsville Police Department at 540-832-2234.
