For the purchase of goods or services valued at $30,000 or greater, the Town endeavors to follow the spirit of Virginia Code Sections 2.2-4300, et seq., pertaining to the process for competitive bidding and negotiation, as appropriate. For more information, please refer to the Purchasing Policy section of the Town's Financial Policies.

Park Network Construction
The Town is soliciting bids for construction related to its Park Network project.

The project consists of renovating an outdated, non-code compliant, and obsolete community park and community pool on approximately 4 acres, including installation of a new 5,500 square foot pool with 25-meter swim lanes and shallow entry area, and 15,000 square foot deck area and 1,500 square foot bath house. Also included is the installation of perimeter parallel and pull in parking to support pool use and access, site grading, and installing drainage and storm water quality infrastructure in improved areas. Bids are due by 3 p.m. on MONDAY, APRIL 8, 2024. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Verling Park shelter (100 Allen Street). Geotechnical Report

This is a federally-funded project using National Park Service Land and Water Conservation funds, administered by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. Buy America requirements must be met by the Contractor. The Contractor must conduct affirmative actions to encourage DBE participation per 2 Code of Federal Regulations § 200.321.
