Water Service Interruption - Mayhugh Avenue and South Faulconer Street

Water Service Interruption UPDATE - Thursday, January 27, 2022 (4:37 PM)
The water leak has been repaired and water service reestablished.  If anyone has air in the lines/cloudy water, they should run the water for 10-15 minutes and water should clear up.  If problem continues please call the Town of Gordonsville Public Works Department at (540) 832-0877.

Runway Construction Project Information Meeting - June 7, 2021

Recycling Center to Open February 1, 2021

Posted November 23, 2020. The Gordonsville Branch Library will be closed on Mondays effective immediately due to a staffing shortage.  The Main Library located at 146 N. Madison Road, Orange, Virginia and the Wilderness Branch Library located at 6421 Flat Run Road, Locust Grove, Virginia will continue to be available on the Library's website: hppts://www.ocplva.org/.

COVID-19 Utility-Rent-Mortgage Relief Still Available to Gordonsville Residents
Re-posted November 5, 2020 (original posting October 6, 2020). The Gordonsville Town Council has allocated $45,000 of its CARES Act funding to the Orange County Department of Social Services (OCDSS) CARES Act Fund Program to provide assistance to Gordonsville residents who need utility (electric, water, sewer, etc.), rent or mortgage relief due to COVID-19.  This program is available to anyone who needs assistance and meets eligibility requirements. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A SOCIAL SERVICES CLIENT TO APPLY. Eligibility guidelines and more information about the program are available at this link. Trick-or-Treat, Halloween, October 31, 2020.
Posted October 20, 2020. Gordonsville Town Council issued the following statement regarding Halloween this year:

• As families make their own decisions as to how they will celebrate Halloween, please be sensitive to safety concerns about the spread of COVID-19.
• Our primary concern this Halloween is the safety of the children.
• Try not to congregate in large numbers and spread out when visiting homes utilizing social distancing as much as possible between 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Halloween.
• Please consider not handing out candy and other treats directly to children, but use tables and other devices to maintain 6' distance from the children.
• Recommendation this year, we recommend that all adults and children wear masks which cover their mouth and nose at all times.
• Please use single package wrapping of sweets and other treats to minimize spread of virus by contact.
• If a homeowner's lights are turned off please do not visit such home to respect their concerns about safety, especially this year.
