Town Seeks Applications for Town Council Vacancy

The passing of Councilmember Jim Bradley leaves a vacancy on Town Council that must be temporarily filled by Council appointment until a special election to permanently fill the position is held at a later time. 

Town Council is soliciting applications from anyone interested in serving their community. Qualified candidates must live within the corporate limits of the town and be a qualified voter within the Gordonsville voting precinct.

Applications are available at this link. In order to be considered, completed applications must be sent to Town Clerk Janet Jones at jjones@gordonsville.org or placed in the drop box behind Town Hall by the end of the day on Sunday, December 4th.

Town Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 5th to interview applicants and make an appointment to fill the vacant seat. The meeting will take place in the second floor Council chambers of Town Hall located at 112 S. Main Street.
